Epicure's Asian Steak

Beef is a good source of protein, iron, zinc and Vitamin B12. Marinate for a minimum of 30 minutes, or overnight. Make extra steak for Saturday’s meal.

INGREDIENTS
Makes 4 servings

Prep Time: 35 minutes
Cook Time: 5–10 minutes (allow 30 minutes to marinate)

1/4 cup (60 ml) light soy sauce

3 Tbsp (45 ml) sherry vinegar

2 Tbsp (30 ml) brown sugar

1–2 Tbsp (15–30 ml) Epicure's Asian Stir-fry Seasoning (formerly Oriental Stir-fry Seasoning)

Epicure's Pepper, to taste

4 — 3 oz (85 g) sirloin steaks

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a large, shallow bowl. Add steaks and marinate for a minimum of 30 minutes, or overnight.
  2. Preheat oven to broil or barbecue to medium-high. Remove steaks from marinade, pat dry with paper towel and broil or barbecue until desired doneness.
  3. Allow to sit 3 minutes before serving.
