Savoury Ham Puffs

A warm ham-and-cheese dish the whole family will love!

INGREDIENTS
Makes 6 servings

1 ½ Tbsp (22.5 ml) VE Honey Mustard

1 Tbsp (15 ml) VE 3 Onion Dip Mix

2 tsp (10 ml) VE Poco Picante Salsa Mix

2/3 cup (160 ml) finely diced, cooked lean ham

1 egg, slightly beaten

¼ cup (60 ml) low-fat mayonnaise

½ cup (125 ml) shredded low-fat Swiss cheese

½ cup (125 ml) diced red pepper

3 whole-wheat pita bread rounds, cut in half
  1. Combine first 6 ingredients in a medium mixing bowl. Gently stir in Swiss and peppers and combine. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. May be made up to 1 day ahead.
  2. Preheat oven to 350° F (175° C). Spread mixture on pita and bake 7–10 minutes.

 Serving Suggestion Serve with a vegetable side platter and prepared VE Dip.
