Epicure Foundation™ Community Initiative National Grant Program
Thanks to the generous contributions of our Customers, Consultants and Home Team Members, the Epicure Foundation™ has been able to award more than $100,000 in funds and in-kind donations to the following grassroots organizations working to improve food security in communities across Canada. We are honoured to support their outstanding service to the health and wellness of countless Canadians.
2010

With funding received from the Epicure Foundation™ Community Initiative National Grant Program, the YWCA Crisis Shelter was able to contract a qualified community dinner leader and offered community dinners twice a week for all residents from April to September 2011. The community dinner leader cooked nutritious meals with the women, and also provided information about healthy eating habits, proper food preparation, food literacy, and cooking skills. The dinner community dinnerleader also shared recipes and resources in the community that residents can access once they leave the Crisis Shelter. Community Dinners led by a qualified community dinner leader have been a great success. Sincere thanks to the Epicure Foundation™ Community Initiative Grant Program!
